german born designer sebastian gronemeyer grew up surrounded by the works of arne jacobsen (whose egg chair provided a perfect hiding place as a kid), poul kjærholm (whose hard edged bases account for many almost broken toes) and eero saarinen (whose tulip chair served as a carousel on the dinner table). at the age of eighteen he designed and build an electric guitar, upon which he decided to pursue a career in the arts. he studied design in north america and worked in several different countries around the world.
